Does anyone know anything about this singer?!
I've recently got hold of his song Popstar and love it, so was wondering if he'd done anything else of note.
Thanks in advance (and loving the site btw!)

He's Danish. Recently featured on DontStopthePop. Has worked a lot with Infernal.

All I know is he was on Infernal's song Ultimate Control. I didn't think much of his version of Popstar, to be honest, but this is probably because I've heard the version Dutch singer Sita released a few years ago, which is much, much better. The song was written by Robyn and there was once a rumour that it was meant for Britney, but this was never confirmed.

Sita's version is the closest thing will get to hearing Robyns demo. however I much prefer Jon's mix especially the pop mix that didnt make the album but is on the single instead. There's something about his delivery and his new lyrics that really makes it special. I love "if you walk in my shoes...industry can kill you" bit that Robyn wrote speficially for Jon. Sita's version to me is too reserved but her accent is soooo cute. Some of the words she can't quite sing so she spits it out.

I found Jon's delivery a bit 'middle of the road', with the guitars it almost sounds like something Westlife would do for one of their occasional upbeat tracks eg. Bop Bop Baby or Uptown Girl. But it's a great song so at least people are listening to it and perhaps some will be interested to hear more of Jon's material (I heard another song by him on an mp3 blog which was not at all Westlifey) and hopefully Sita's too, because she has loads and loads of great songs, mostly of the level of Popstar or even better.

The song was written by Robyn and there was once a rumour that it was meant for Britney, but this was never confirmed. Jessica Robyn said in an interview that the song the song she wrote for Britney was for her third album, and was about being a popstar. So chances are great it's Sita's/Jon's song. Not that it matters much since she got to write for Robyn later on 'Over To You Now' though. I like Jon's version. But I agree with Jessica, the original version with Sita is better. Are there any other songs with him around?
