Katerine Avgoustakis won Star Academy 2005 and entered this year's Eurovision selection but of course she couldn't beat Kate Ryan. Last year she released an amazing single called Here Come All The Boys, and a self-titled album which from the clips on her website sound really good. I like Take Me Home, Out On You, Catfight and 2much4you the best. It's just really great pop music, sounding like all sorts of different acts from Girls Aloud (One Way Ticket sounds like Nadine!) to Britney to S Club to Xtina, with dance-pop (All Night Long), ballads (Born, Loving You) and r'n'b (Intertwined) thrown into the mix. Her songs are a real variety but of a pretty high overall quality too. If you like your pop shiny and girly, you should definitely pay some attention to Katerine.

I liked 'Here Come All The Boys' but LOVED 'Catfight', though I haven't heard the album yet. She's definitely one of the most interesting female popstars in Europe at the moment. I must track down her album.
